No, I’m not getting married but in a way, we all already are…..to our bodies. I have been going through a lot of changes health wise for a several months now and this time has really allowed me to think.
So many of us push our health aside, especially while our symptoms are still mild and in the early stages. We also don’t take things like colds and flu’s seriously enough. There is a reason we have caught those things! It’s not just a matter of being around the wrong person at the wrong time and catching something.
My challenge for you today is to take a moment and ask yourself what you can do to appreciate your body. Could you nourish it better? Go out and buy a salad or fruit…..or a summer smoothie! Could you stretch and exercise more? Take a nice walk in the fresh air and stretch a little in the sun! Or could you just need a little more rest? Relax and have a little fun getting to know people on twitter or read a good book!
So, you get my point. Our bodies unfortunately are not bionic and WILL get run down when pushed too far. I pushed my body for years thinking that as long as I kept my immune system strong and ate nourishing food, I could get through. But it’s not just one thing and when symptoms arise, pay attention sunshine readers! Your body will thank you for caring for it sooner rather than later.
